Tritech International Ltd is the most decorated oil-related company in Scotland. In 2001 the company was awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Innovation. Past honours include the Royal Society of Edinburgh's Millenium Award, and our first Queen's Award, in 1994, for Export Achievement.
Tritech started trading in 1990 with the aim of producing the finest, most innovative range of subsea products available. Beginning life as a two man operation working from a converted house, Tritech is now an industry leader in the provision of sensors and tools for ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicles) and AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicles) markets.
Tritech is based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire, with its design and manufacturing base located in Ulverston, Cumbria.
In 2006 Tritech became part of Halma p.l.c. which also acquired SRD in 2007. SRD which specialises in multi-beam sonar is based in Beverley, East Yorkshire and is now part of the Tritech Group.
As the name implies, Tritech embraces three different technologies; subsea imaging and measuring systems with both acoustic and video sensors, and many state of the art mechanical and electrical products.

The key to the company's success is that new products are always market driven. Working closely with specialist partner companies results in new types of products and subsea technologies which frequently establish new domestic and international market opportunities.
